Babies
will rock down the block and roll right into the nursery
with new Orbit Bassinet Cradle.
Orbit universe set to expand with new Infant Bassinet package.
Newark, CA –They’ve been lauded as having one of
the most innovative new product groups in the baby gear industry – and
now Orbit is ready to go one better.
Rolling out this spring (and
down the sidewalks of your town) is the new Orbit
Bassinet Cradle, a two-piece bundle with both a Bassinet and Rocker base.
This innovative product package allows baby to go from a stroll around the block
to swaying in a cradle without as much as a hiccup.
The Orbit Bassinet
Cradle, which will be in stores mid March
2007, is an extension of the company’s extremely popular Orbit
Infant System. The Bassinet is designed for infants
up to 20
pounds, or approximately 0-6months in age.
The Bassinet
package includes the new Orbit Bassinet,
the new Orbit
Rocker base, a Carrying Tote, and a mattress
that reverses from cool aero-mesh to warm micro-fiber.
With
this new addition, parents can dock the Orbit
Bassinet onto
the Orbit Stroller base (sold
separately as part of the Orbit Infant System). This system
can go anywhere a stroller can, around the block, to the park,
on shopping trips, and more. When the
daily excursions are done, the Orbit Bassinet is
easily transferred from the Stroller base with
just a squeeze of the release levers, and docked on to the included Rocker base
via the Orbit
SmartHub Docking System.
The Rocker
base and Bassinet unite to form a unique cradle that bounces
gently and sways soothingly.
With the Orbit
Rocker base, parents can easily
swivel and dock, or undock, the Bassinet as needed. Other
seats in the Orbit collection, including the Orbit Infant
Car Seat, and the Orbit Toddler
Stroller Seat, can also be docked onto the Rocker base
to create a system with unsurpassed flexibility.
The Orbit
Bassinet and Rocker base will be offered in either Mocha with Khaki
interior, or Black with Slate interior, and retails for an MSRP
of $239.95. The
Bassinet alone weighs just 8 pounds. Approximate Bassinet
measurements are: 16”W x 29”L x 10.25”H.
The Orbit Bassinet is equipped with a sunshade that blocks nearly 100%
of UVA and UVB radiation. The Orbit exclusive extension that pulls
out from the sunshade is playfully named the Paparazzi Shield. With this
extension, the sunshade extends over the entire expanse of the open portion of
the Bassinet.
For convenience, both the Bassinet and Rocker easily collapse
for travel and can be conveniently stowed in a trunk or backseat.
